Other buildings should align to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and the manufacturer's guidance — typically at least annually.

An inspection is a visual check that records condition and defects. Maintenance includes fixing those defects — adjusting closers, replacing seals, repairing ironmongery — to bring the door back to its certified condition.
